SWIRE University Scholarships (SUS) are open to:

High-achieving continuing undergraduate students who have attained excellent academic results and enrolled at the following institutions:

Undergraduate students who are in the Year 2 of their study programs at the time of the announcement of awardees

Scholarship recipients receive support over 3 years through years 2 to 4 of their study program.

SUS benefits :

  • Payment of full tuition fees.
  •  On Campus board and accommodation (where applicable)
  • One off return ticket from home to institution (where applicable)
  • Resource investment for study materials

Important : Read the following carefully before completing your application

Instructions to applicants.

You must complete your application in English.

  • Check eligibility requirements before applying. If you are in-eligible and still apply your application will automatically eliminated.
  • All necessary documentation required must be attached with the application and submitted. Misrepresentation of information will amount to your application being automatically disqualified.
  • You must complete application in one sitting and submit. You won’t be able to save your progress continue at a later date.
  • You are only allowed to submit one (1) response so ensure to take your time and fill out your application  correctly.

Ensure you have a steady internet connection and are not in an environment  where you can be distracted during your application

Required Supporting documents.

  • Identification documentation: NID, Driver’s license, School ID, or Passport bio-page.
  • Continuing/confirmation letter from  institution
  • Most recent transcript
  • Tuition fee quotation/invoice
  • Boarding & lodging fee quotations/invoice
  • Two written references from two people other than relatives  (eg. Community Leader, Pastor, ward councilor, teacher), who endorse your application.
  • The form will only accept the following file types to ensure your application documents are saved as either pdf or images.

Eligibility requirements

  • Must be a Papua New Guinean (PNG) citizen)
  • Must be in Year 2 of studies in 2024 Academic Year
  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate program at any of the four institutions mentioned above
  • Undertaking a study program in any of the following disciplines:
    • Accounting
    • Business Management
    • Accounting & Entrepreneurship
    • Tourism & Hospitality Management
    • Strategic Management
    • Law
    • Environmental Health
    • IT,
    • Computer Science
    • Property Studies
    • Architecture
    • Construction management
    • Science
    • Environmental Science
  • Must have a minimum GPA OF 3.0
  • Must be a first generation University student
  • No previous disciplinary  issues
