This is to advise graduating students, parents/guardians and sponsors that due to the spread of COVID-19, the 53rd Graduation Ceremony is now postponed to Friday 8th of April 2022. The ceremony will be held at the Taraka Campus, at 8:30 am.
Application to Graduate
Graduating students who wish to graduate must fill out an application form that is available on the University Website www.unitech.ac.pg . Submit a completed “Application for Graduation” before the 18th of March 2022. This will secure you a seat at the graduation ceremony. For Msc, and PhD, please contact the Academic and Student Administration Office. Those who applied already do not need to apply again.
Gowns will be issued on the following dates and time. Monday, 28th March to Wednesday 6th April (9:00am to 3:00pm) and Thursday, 7th April (9:00 am to 12:00 noon).
Gown Purchase Charges
Degree gown (including hoods) K500.00
Diploma gown K350.00
Higher Degree Gown
PhD/Masters/Post Graduate K700.00
Payment can be made to the PNG University of Technology Account # : 1000386580, BSP Bank-Lae. Scan and email all gown fee payments with the email subject ‘Gown Fee Payment’ to the accounts team on emails firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com . Deadline for gown payments is on Friday 25th March 2022. Fees for purchase of gowns are non-refundable. All gowns will be purchased, no gowns will be hired .
Rehearsal will be held on Thursday 7th April 2022 at 1:00 pm with procession starting at the Duncanson Hall. Graduating students should assemble in the Duncanson Hall by (12:00 pm) on that day.
Formal Graduation Photo sessions will be conducted daily at 1:00 pm-4:00 pm, from Friday, 1ST to Thursday 7th April, 2022 at the AV Unit.

Debts, Fines and Charges
All debts, fines and charges must be cleared by Friday 25th March 2022. Graduates who fail to clear their debts by the deadline will have their soft copy certificates withheld until outstanding payments are made.
COVID 19 measures
It is mandatory that all students and invited guests provide their own masks to wear on the day. Guests who will be allowed entry by invitation cards only and observe social distancing.
