Papua New Guinea Customs Service Authority is a dynamic and diverse organization that performs the four (4) main functions for the government. It is responsible for Border and Community Protection, Facilitation of Legitimate Trade and Travel and Revenue Collection. The PNG Customs Service is a modernized and rapidly growing Government Agency and provides equal employment opportunity for all Papua New Guineans.

Applications are now invited from suitably qualified Papua New Guineas who are innovative, creative and highly motivated to join us for this Graduate Development Program. Applicants must have high regard for commitment, discipline and a heart to serve this nation with integrity and honesty. The program is part of HR workforce planning for PNG Customs Services where we plan to recruit, develop and maintain a skilled and qualified Human Resources that will effectively deliver the mandated duties and functions to achieve organizational outcomes.

The graduate development program will run for 12 months and graduates engaged will undergo PNGCS induction, relevant trainings and six months Job Rotation. There will be intensive training programs, mentorship from our experienced senior technical staff and other trainings coordinated with our external partner agencies.

PNG Customs Service is committed to protecting the community and contributing to the development of Papua New Guinea.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate willing to take part in this program must:

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 35 years.
  • Have completed a diploma or degree program within the last three or who are eligible to graduate at a recognized university or institutions within PNG or abroad.
  • Have excellent academic results with a minimum GPA of 2.5 in their final year of study.
  • Be of sound mind and character.
  • Have disciplinary issues and no criminal records
