The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) at the University of Papua New Guinea offers a variety of programs related to society, arts, philosophy, social development, journalism, dance and etc. This list the complete list of programs on offer at the school.

Enrichment Courses

The enrichment courses are taken offered by SHSS are not only taken by students enrolled under the school’s program but also taken by students enrolled under School of Business and Public Policy (SBPP) and School of Law (SOL). Particularly by first Year Students in those two schools.

Research and Consultancy

The school also houses a research center-Melanesian and Pacific Studies (MAPS), and an Institute-Melanesian Institute of Arts and Communication (MIAC). The staff of the School are involved in carrying out research in collaboration with various international organizations and universities  and providing consultancy services to various public and private organizations.
